Give yourself over to God

Hey thanks for the letter 
Honestly looks like the boys are doing better in Piano Federation than me and Andrew did in past years haha. But there were always some miracles being shown in our preparations for the recitals. Give a hug to mom for me. I think that a mission is never just like one day you decide to give everything to God and then it's just happy and easy and you just grow. It’s like that times 200. You give yourself over to God, he blesses you and helps you and then you reach your limits and you have to give more over to God. And then he blesses you more. Then it gets hard again and repeat it all over. It’s not one big wall that you get over in the first few months. I realized it’s more like a steeple chase. It’s a bunch of walls that slowly get bigger, that stretch us more and more. “Walls” that train us and push us. And like Nate told me,
 it doesn't stop after the mission.

I am so proud of missionaries.

You asked about if we would make a thanksgiving dinner, but our kitchen only has one small stove top and a couple old pans. So we ́ll see if it works out to make anything.
We taught some awesome families this week. If you feel like praying pray for Daniela, Nilton, Julio, Joao Vitor, Lucia, Adriano, Guillherme, Mateus, Monique, Nicanor.
One family was having a lot of hard times, but knew and said to us that God had a purpose for all of it. After I had testified of the humble prayer and the great vision seen by a young boy, they prayed at the end of the first lesson. To know clearly if this is God's church and if Joseph was called as a prophet of God. I love teaching this gospel. 
Assistimos o “Christ Child” filme e foi muito tocado com os reis magos e o testemunho do cristo.Presidente eu quero este tipo de testemunho de cristo! Eles vagavam tão longe e deu os presentes e ajoelharam perante o menino porque eles sabiam sem sombra de dúvida que este era o salvador. Eu sei que viajei longe e estou dando muito para ele,  eu quero um testemunho como os pastores ou os reis ou os discípulos de cristo de antiguidade.


TRANSLATION: We watched the "Christ Child" movie and was very touched by the wise men and the testimony of Christ.  I want this kind of testimony of Christ! They wandered so far and gave gifts and knelt before the boy because they knew without a doubt that this was the Savior. I know I traveled far and I am giving a lot to him, I want a testimony like the pastors or kings or the ancient disciples of Christ.

I loved getting a package this week!!!!!!!!!! I opened up the snacks and shared them with the office.
They were tempting me to open the rest but I’m holding out strong until Christmas.

2/8/20 Hey my familão Transfers this week and here are the Highlights: We got to see some awesome missionaries finish their missions! The new missionaries are great! I actually know one of the sisters from home. Sister Ramirez she's a friend of Jordan and Blake Andersons family, and she went on trek with our ward a couple years back! She's already speaking Portuguese so well!!  There is a 7 foot Brazilian Elder who almost played basketball, but came on a mission instead. Ssooo huge yeah!!! We went to the bus station at 5 in the morning and I got to hang out with the new missionaries catching buses, so that was cool to talk with them more. They speak a few words, but have strong simple testimonies and are so excited to just go out and DO! Elder Pinkston broke his foot and so now will be living with us until he gets his medical exams done and heals up a little. He's from American Fork and is an awesome guy! He works in a hardwoo...

Opa Oi Alo

We worked our butts off this week and it was great. We are in a branch here but it has a lot more members than my last area. And we eat lunch with members every day. This week we spent so much time looking for people. I’m helping my  companion get over his fear to start a conversation with strangers . H e is a great guy. Just quiet. We are trying to visit all of the less active members and updating "The LIST". We visited some people that hadn’t been to church in months. Some haven’t been in almost a year. I said to my companion that I would ask one guy to help us get to know the neighborhood and find some friends here. My companion said, “there is no way that he will want to help us”. But when we gave him a short lesson, shared testimonies and then asked him to come with us for the day, he said: “for sure”. What have you learned?

Feb 29 2020 Dear Family So Elder Eastwood was asking us about what we had learned in District meeting! And I loved hearing about what everyone said they had learned. I LEARNED SO MUCH! So my new go to question is what have you learned lately? So here are some things I learned this week Today was already so great. Presidents wife came over to clean our house with us to show us how a pro does it. So I learned a lot about cleaning today haha Listening to music while scrubbing bathrooms reminded me good ol’ Saturday morning cleaning at home. We have a couple awesome lessons for today, with investigators!!! Aide and also Josemar and his family! Pray for them! Also, other important people that need Gods help: Jose and his adorable family, Nicolas!, Eduardo, actually… just buy a phone book from Juiz de Fora and just go name for name praying for everyone!
