What have you learned?

Feb 29 2020
Dear Family
So Elder Eastwood was asking us about what we had learned in District meeting! And I loved hearing about what everyone said they had learned. I LEARNED SO MUCH!
So my new go to question is what have you learned lately?
So here are some things I learned this week
Today was already so great. Presidents wife came over to clean our house with us to show us how a pro does it. So I learned a lot about cleaning today haha
Listening to music while scrubbing bathrooms reminded me good ol’ Saturday morning cleaning at home.

We have a couple awesome lessons for today, with investigators!!! Aide and also Josemar and his family! Pray for them!
Also, other important people that need Gods help: Jose and his adorable family, Nicolas!, Eduardo, actually… just buy a phone book from Juiz de Fora and just go name for name praying for everyone!
Do you remember Ginger Ramiez? She is in
my mission and is a great missionary

I learned about how much easier everything is when you just turn your will to God. Sanctify yourself!!! Which is trying to do what you know God wants for you to do.

These weeks we are studying chapter 2 in preach my gospel as a mission . IT’S ALL ABOUT STUDYING!!
I always thought I know more or less how to study but I got a spiritual slap in the face, that I need to start taking advantage of my personal study! I started making a study journal and also writing down the attributes I want to get better at. We ́ve been talking a lot about if you don't write down what you learn, it’s like you’re saying “I’m satisfied with what I’ve got"
I'm trying to write down all of my spiritual impressions and things that I’ve learned, to say to God "look I know basically nothing, but I’m willing to learn, can you help a guy out?"
I was also studying about what "the lamb of God” means. God often calls this church “the church of the lamb" so I thought I’d better figure out exactly what that means. Studying about ancient sacrifice really shows everything has always pointed to Christ – EVERYTHING!
Looks like someone grabbed my camera and is leaving
funny pictures!
So Sunday,  I walked into the chapel, doing my thing,  saying hi to all the old ladies (you know me). But as I was making my rounds and the counselor  came up with a nervous sweaty face and I know too well that look on his face. So he said “that the two speakers didn't show and asked if I would give a talk.” So what I did do? Shared what I had learned that week.
So my talk was “The Savior, the saints, and the sacrifice”.
I talked about as a mission we work hard and then on p-days work harder to get our stains out of our shirts! (the Brasil red mud doesn't come out easy) And talked about the process of making something clean!! I talked about the blood of the lamb and how it is to be used to wash us clean and spotless. I then invited the members to do their part, we know how good it feels to be clean and it’s our responsibility to share with others that process! THEY NEED TO KNOW, SO SHARE WITH THEM!
The funniest part is that afterwards the members come and congratulated me on the great talk. Then they leaned in and said "ya know the secret of getting stains out of those shirts is?” And told me this thing or that thing, and then told me “you can trust me!" and the next member came over and leaned in and said “look the best detergent is so and so- trust me.” So along with teaching others I learned all the secrets of washing clothes. TRUST ME. Next time I’ll give a talk  about cooking, and maybe then all the members will come up afterwards and give me family recipes ;);)
Take home message: It’s good to share what we learn with others. You learn lots of insights when teaching.

It was great!!!

I hope you learn so much as a family!! and SHARE WHAT YOU LEARN!!
I love hearing about your missionary experiences, the fullest joy comes from sharing the peace of Christ with others. KEEP UP THE WORK support your local neighborhood missionaries!!
I love to see you all grow.
