What a spooky…
Missionaries serving in the office
No, Actually, Halloween wasn't that exciting because no one really celebrates it here.
We invited everyone to come to an activity. We were talking to the  new member and invited him to come to our activity and he said he wouldn't go because it wasn’t of the God of light but of the other one he said hahaha.
So the superstitious people aren't a huge fan of Dia das Bruxas (day of the witches).
But our halloween consisted of marking some family nights with some members

Tuesday Presidente called us into his office and told us that he felt to call new replacement secretaries for Elder Halh and Elder Aurichio. So, Wednesday we got 2 new secretaries that will be  trained for 2 weeks and then stay here with us in the office in the places of the other two. Their names are Elder Eastwood (From Hawaii) and Elder Cesar (from Rio grande do Sul). They are super excited and I'm excited to change things up. But it’s always crazy changing secretaries.

The Halloween activity was great, A recent convert named Ligia helped decorate and it turned out awesome. We judged costumes and ate food everything worked out. We had a bunch of members from every ward in the city and a bunch of non-members.

Funny story:
Every day when we get back from lunch we check to see if we've got any packages or letters for the missionaries to hand out. So I was getting the missionary mail and I saw that we had a huge box. I thought “wow some sister is getting Christmas early”. Then I saw my name on it! I told my companion “oh I think someone sent me a huge Christmas package. But i'm not going to open it until Christmas.  Anyways, Yesterday I saw a corner of the box had opened and I saw inside so I opened it and it was just supplies that I had ordered to be shipped to the mission office. My companion was on the floor laughingI got my hopes up for nothing.

Spiritual story:
Here in the mission, we have been focusing a lot on teaching 3 Nefi 11. The prophet came here to Brazil and taught about that. Two general authorities told us to study it more and so we have taught a lot about the Lords ministry in the Americas introducing 3 Nefi 11.
This week had gone after a reference of some other missionaries of a family in our area. So we found this house in a maze of stairs and got to know them. It was just the grandfather trying to handle a house of 6 kids, all of them with k names. The man was nice and believes in Christ but he doesn't the importance of following what Christ says. He's already got faith and that's good enough for the guy. But the best part- the very best part of the lesson were the kids, THEY ARE AMAZING. Karen a girl with just 9 years . Young, but she is so spiritually mature. We were asking if they were reading the Book of Mormon and she said “well, the others are busy with school during the week. But we always find a time on the weekend to read a little. When we kneeled down at the end, a girl of 8 years said the best prayer I felt like the Savior in 3 Nephi in the middle of his children blessing them.
I felt so strong the love of the Lord for these kids. It's hard for them to progress to baptism without the progress of their parents, so we ́I’ll keep on working.
I love the people here.

love
