This week there were lots of lessons and lots of new people that I cant list them all!

We had an awesome Master Chef activity on Saturday.We made a competition of sweet and savory dishes.Elder Shorts - homemade cinnamon rolls. Elder Niela made parfait. Elder Parronchi made lemon moose. And I Elder Sheffield made red pepper stuffed with meat, bacon and a light cream sauce. I had high hopes that everyone would make desserts and so I could winin the savory category uncontended.But IRMA CLEIDE showed up with a perfect chicken pie so infelizmente (unfortunately) I lost. But I won the award for most creative! Are you proud of me mom? ;)

We were in the farthest part of our area and It started raining. Man I missed the rain!!!!I just can’t help smiling in the pouring rain and even when a car drove by andthrew water in our face hahaha. It’s finally coming back to rainy season. I think it shows to people that we are dedicated and shows ourtestimonies like "hey you think we would be out here in front of your
house, soaking wet, if our message wasn’t true?" But we taught some good lessons even in the pouring rain.
My companion is so great. He is already so amazing in the mission. He’s going
to do so much good.
We have been working with Cristiano and Natiele. They want to a ranch, for the weekend, along witheveryone else so we just had a boy in sacrament named Mateus.
Ensinamos (we teach) Cristiano and he has a fear to start something and then not carry out with it. So we are working with him to feel more of a desire.He’s reading and praying and he says he just wants to read more and moreof the Book of Mormon. He says he just gets more and more curious. He and his wife are great. We have been working with Dudu, but he also went to the ranch for the weekend.
Ana is an older lady who was a reference from a kid we met on the street.The kid didn’t want anything to do with us, but said “ah, just visit my grandma”.We went to her place. She answered the door but said she was catholic. Wetalked a little and then she let us in and we gave a lesson.She said we radiated peace and light and she started opening up more and more saying that she felt that Jesus had visited the Americas. And she felt there were more parts than just the bible we taught her. She was sohappy to hear about the Book of Mormon that when we said a prayer atthe end, she was gripping the Book of Mormon to her chest looking so happy.
We have a Venezuelan refugee family here.they are so sweet. They moved here to brazil without knowing any Portuguese.Kelvin, the husband, is a really nice guy.Their lives were so hard and Venezuela is passing through some rough times.But they are sempre (always) excited and happy and have so much charityoffered to them. He offered me his pair of shoes that were a little big on him!!
We were talking with them about fear and how it’s the opposite of faith.

So many people have a fear of repentance, fear of change or fear of trying.If we have faith, and trust in God, we don’t need to have fear. Even ofdeath, because If God is with us who could be against us?!
"Doubt not fear not"
Even Jesus said being fearless is a commandment!
In Portuguese, the word it is conjugated as “orders or commands” and so fear notisn’t just a little suggestion it is a commandment.Have fait,m don’t fear the change or the trials. God watches over his children and wants to help us sooo much.
I am so grateful for that.
