New President and New Companion

Jul 15 2019
I traveled all day Tuesday and then went straight to the one of the chapels in Juiz de Fora.
We had a little meeting with the new mission president. He has a vision really different for the mission and for the work here. He’s really great. He has a lot of experience and was a seventy and so has a lot of stories and is full of the spirit.

Then we went to another room to hear the announcement who would be companions with whoIt's so great. My new companion is Elder Parronchi (pa-hon-kee - His name reminds me of the guy from Cusco Ponchee) He from Sao Paulo and he is so great. All the miracles and blessings that have happened this week have made it hard to even keep trackWe got right to work when we got home to our apartment. We taught some new families Cristiano and Natiele, Ramisa e Lucas, Ana Clara e Gabriele. A family that the other elders are teaching went to church on SundayAfter so many weeks of work; it was so greattttt

Elder Parronchi is awesome, he doesn’t have fear to talk to anyone and he teaches really well. It is going to be a great transfer.

It warmed up a little this week. It is winter here.

Today we made so homemade bread mmmmmmm. Then we called some less active members to play some basketball at the church. Our district is Elder Shors, Elder Niela, Eu (me) and Elder  Parronchi.  Elder Niela also from Sao Paulo is such a pro missionary.

We taught an amazing lesson this week talking about paz (peace) and the spirit.
Joao 14 (John 14)

quanto vos tenho dito.

27 Deixo-vos a apaz, a minha paz vos dou; não vô-la dou como o mundo a
dá. Não se turbe o vosso coração, nem se atemorize.

There is a difference between peace that the world has and the peace that we receive as a blessing from GodI know that peace in our hearts is such a huge gift and it comes with
obedience to the commandments.

I love you all and I love the Savior Jesus Christ
