It is so HOT!

the one fan we have. I’ve been taking freezing cold showers right before bed so I can sleep.
MariLisa, a women we are teaching, literally has a jungle in her backyard with 10 dogs, mango trees, avocado trees, a few lemon trees and a jack fruit tree. We marked a baptism date with her and taught a lot about prayer and the importance of God’s plan for us. At the end of the lesson she gave a bunch of fresh mango and a giant jack fruit. Elder Santos is going to make us jack fruit burgers that he claims they taste just like beef, haha but we will see. haha
Marcelo got in a motorcycle crash a year ago this week and it broke both his legs and his femur in three places. He hasn’t been able to leave his bed since. He says he just wants to play with his son as he’s growing up. And he’s so ready to just walk. He’s got a big grudge against the person who caused the accident and was planning on calling her this week to tell her all that he’s missed because of it. We taught him about the importance of forgiveness and how the atonement of Jesus Christ is there to forgive all people. He’s heading to surgery today so we are praying everything goes well. One year in the same room really gives you a lot of time to think and he was thinking a lot about God before we started to teach him. The Lord put him in our path.
Right now the guy in the internet cafe is blasting classic rock and I’m trying to tune it out.
We walked across the street and picked some mangos to make some ice cold smoothies.
We have zone conferences this next week, so I’ll find out if any packages or letters arrived.
We were helping a member and he runs one of the only mortuary’s in town so he’s always running around picking up dead bodies and sells coffins every day. So one day we were passing by and helping him move some coffins and my companion was so shocked and grossed out when he found out one of them actually had a body in it! hahah
We visited a recent convert and helped him finish some welding projects haha
We were headed home for the night and ran into moms favorite animal, if there wasn’t a rule that missionaries can’t have pets we would’ve totally taken it home with us.
I love you all so much
