Meu Ultimo Semmana aqui
So this is my last week at the MTC and it’s like the last week of school before we leave for summer. Everyone is distracted thinking about everything that is going to change, everyone is nervous and excited but mostly just ready to get out in the field and get going. A week from today I will be in my mission and be assigned to my companion that I’ll have for the next month or so. It has been a good week. It rained almost the entire week and it’s been pretty cold but I LOVE THE RAIN. Towards the beginning of the week, we were walking around the city and it was sprinkling and we thought we didn’t need a rain jacket or an umbrella. Then all of a sudden it started dumping rain. We were completely soaked and dripping wet. It hasn’t really stopped raining since. The only downside of the rain is they closed down the volei (volleyball)and basquete(basketball) courts as well as the little tiny track that you have to run around probably 20 times to run a mile. We have resorted to running stairs, up and down 7 flights and doing workouts in our rooms to get exercise. The best days are when we go out into the city. I wish my description could do it justice but it’s hard for me to describe everything that is different about Sao Paulo. We didn’t need to buy anything specifically this week, so we just explored the places we hadn’t been before. We found some amazing muralals (murals) and some good places to eat. Our good Brazilian friend told us about this good food place and we went and got a couple skewers of chicken hearts and they were so delicious. We are teaching a lot of practice lessons to members and to instructors. But it is going to be real lessons with real people in a week. My new companion will also most likely be a native and so I don’t think I’ll be speaking much English for a while. I’m already forgetting words and so hopefully I don’t forget all of my English.
Lows-
A bunch of our friend left for their missions early this morning
I don’t have a whole lot of time to read and answer emails but I take a picture of all of them and read all of them later
Highs-
I’m kind of pro at volleyball now, I want to play in a tournament when I get back
Our lessons and language are both getting pretty good
I am constantly surrounded by amazing influences and people they are such an example to me
My testimony of the gospel is growing so much and I know that my Savior and Redeemer lives and loves every single one of you even when its hard to see good in ourselves he always can.
Word of the week
