27 August 2018 Opa Bom Dia!!  This  week was a little crazy, A lot happened. My Birthday was on Monday and it was weird to be in a completely different country with people I don’t know but it was so good.  Tuesday we were walking up a hill as usual when my companion Elder Sampaio got a call from our mission headquarters that he being transfered and that he would leave the next day! We finished up the visits that day and headed back to our apartment. We  got all of his stuff together and packed up all his suitcases.  We got up at 4 the next morning to walk 45 minutes to the bus station.  My TRAINER who was supposed to be TRAINING me left me;(  My new trainer Elder Arruda arrived that night and we got to know each other . He’s a really cool guy, he’s from Sao Paulo and has a year and a couple months on a mission so he has a lot of experience and a lot he can teach me. He’s a little crazy, but such a good teacher and missionary...

Ok  so now that have a little bit more time to write e-mails I am going to try to make my e-mails a little better Ola!!! I’m finally in my area of  my actual mission! NOVA. My trainer, ELDER SAMPAIO is from north brazil which is notorious for having crazy accents and talking really fast and yeah… he does. The city is called POINTE NOVA My companion and trainer It’s a pretty small town, and it’s the furthest north city of my mission. You should all go google, search it right now, I’m not sure there will be street view because the roads here are all dirt or cobblestone and are crazy, but you should look it up and explore the city.   I am so glad I grew up in Utah and liked hiking. And grew up on a steep street because that was practice for living here. The city of Pointe nova is like a game of Jenga that the people built on the rolling hills and a big river going through it. Most of the streets are steep and then there are some that are STEEEP like 45 d...

Good Afternoon, Elder Sheffield arrived here yesterday in our mission. We are really excited for him to be here with us. He is in Ponte Nova with Elder Sampaio. He is animated (excited) for this opportunity to serve there and to work with Elder Sampaio. It is such a great area and I know that he will see so many miracles here! We are pleased to have him here and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Sincerely, Fabio Lacerda

Meu Ultimo Semmana aqui

So this is my last week at the MTC  and it’s like the last week of school before we leave for summer. Everyone is distracted thinking about everything that is going to change, everyone is nervous and excited but mostly just ready to get out in the field and get going. A week from today I will be in my mission and be assigned to my companion that I’ll have for the next month or so. It has been a good week. It rained almost the entire week and it’s been pretty cold but I LOVE THE RAIN. Towards the beginning of the week, we were walking around the city and it was sprinkling and we thought we didn’t need a rain jacket or an umbrella. Then all of a sudden it started dumping rain. We were completely soaked and dripping wet. It hasn’t really stopped raining since. The only downside of the rain is they closed down the  volei  (volleyball) and  basquete (basketball) courts as well as the little tiny track that you have to run around probably 20 times to run a mile. We h...
