"Tudo Bem"

Ola!!!
Its my first P-day of the mission and I am so glad it is here! It feels like I've been here for a month already. I'm sad I’m not in Brazil yet but all in all the Provo MTC is great. This week has been so good and so tiring. We have two language three hour classes a day and they are exhausting, speaking Portuguese is hard but I love it. The Zone I’m in is the Romanians the Italians and the Portuguese speakers. The Elders I room with are really cool guys. They all just got out of high school so I feel like the old one of the group. The Elders I share a room with Elder Jones, Elder Smith, Elder Sorenson, Elder Emitt, and Elder Finlinson are all really nice. My companion is  In Portuguese a common phrase is Tudo Bem? It mean "Everything good" and its the question and the answer, so whenever anyone shouts, Tudo Bem? all of us yell back TUDO BEM! (sounds like "to-do ben") We have learned so much Portuguese in just the few days we've been studying but we still speak at like MAYBE 4 year old level. Right now our goal is to memorize a page of common phrases and to memorize about 50 vocabulary words a day. knowing a little Spanish helps a lot but everything is pronounced so differently (It still sounds so much cooler then Spanish so that's a plus)

My district

I have seen so many people I recognize from college Elder Peterson, Sister Glade, Sister Lang, Elder Fitzpatrick, the list could go in for a while Its so good to see friends and they everyone is always speaking their different languages to everyone else, resulting in this big jumble of all different languages. We are always reading taking notes and memorizing so many words.

The elders
Lows-
-Missing my family
-burning hole in my workout pants playing 4square (you're darn right I won that round)
-teaching our first lesson in Portuguese was a little rough
-going to bed late and waking up early
-there is no autocorrect on this computer so my email is probably full of misspellings
-the really loud carbon monoxide alarm keeps going off right above my head while im trying to write this

Highs-
the really loud carbon monoxide alarm is just low on batteries and there is no poisonous gas
-the Elders are great
-the talk, Character of Christ (Muito Bem)
-someone sent Elder Finlinson some doughnuts
-our athletic time playing volleyball Spikeball and soccer
-being so busy and tired
-Every week they call on someone to give a talk in their mission language and they didn't call on me this week
-Our teachers are so amazing
-singing in a choir of ~800 people
-the language is overwhelming but also going very well
-You can still feel the spirit when we teach pray and talk even with the few words we say

Word of the week-
 you guessed it, TUDO BEM
