March 25, 2019 Love you more than…volleyball It was a good week. We worked a lot and met so many new people and families . I need to take notes during the week to remember all my funny mission stories hahah. We have a lot of people with potential and they just need the last little push you know . A pretty church here On Sunday one of the members was sick, so I was called on to talk I was on the  stand thinking and looking for some scriptures during the hymn when a couple we had invited walked in. A mom and her daughter . The mom is a pastor and really intimidating and it got a whole lot more tense intense to make a good impression, I shared a few scriptures and talked about the gospel in my life and my testimony, in the end, I think everything went great. We had a scavenger hunt in the church with the members and had an  awesome lesson. Funny story of the week. We were walking to a part of the city really  far away. There were a bunch of cows i...

City : Barra do Pirai State: Rio Our friend, who will be getting baptized next week, with Elder Santos waiting with me at the station Companion: Elder Rodrigues Monday we said goodbye to everyone and  had a family night with Luiz Phillipe and some members. Tuesday Danielle waited with us at the bus station a couple hours talking and waiting. Here in Barra do Piria city it’s  me Elder Rodrigues (an elder from Manaus Brazil)  and  Elder Souza from the northeast of Brazil with  Elder Correa from Rio Grande do Sul Brazil. My Companion is a goofy guy always making jokes and laughing haha .  He also is a workout junky so he’s been pounding us with morning exercise .  So that’s been fun, but my calves are killing me and a day I couldn’t  lift my hands over my head, but he said "you’ll get used to it" haha. When I arrived we got to know the area a little better by visiting some recent members .  Man, I love this city! It’s so great, it’s s...

Mar 11 2019 Love you more than… eating fish with the teeth eyeballs and bones Elder Santos from the north of Brazil was missing eating fish, so he made us some fried fish for us to eat and we ate it all hahah Yesterday the four of us had gotten home to our apartment, and we were sitting on the roof drinking an ice cold limeade mmmmmm We got the transfer call from the assistants .   My companion Elder Cunha is staying here .   Elder Santos is being the leader of our zone and  Elder Tirado is staying here to finish his training .  And I’m getting transferred to  Rio De Dineiro  in the area of  Barra do PiraĆ. Transfers are hard because you have so much to wrap up and to prep for a new elder and members that want to say good bye to. It’s so close to the  baptismo  (baptism) of Danielle this next week!!!! We are leaving a lot of people behind which is rough . But this week we found of a bunch of new people and a new teaching g...

Love my mission more than… The rainy season in Brazil Me and Elder Cunha at a baptism on the roof of a member in the ward Elder Santos and Elder Tirado walking down the street Gooooood afternooooooon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Wednesday Sorry I didn’t call Monday I felt so bad President let us email today when everything opened back up. This week is carnival here . Imagine a New Year’s party but everyone dresses up like Halloween and it lasts Friday Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday.  It was hard people. Our usual people were traveling the whole time and the streets are deserted the whole day until 4-5:00ish when all the parties would start up again. So yeah, sounds like 5 days of people who weren’t exactly pumped about listening to two missionaries.  But even with all this commotion, we found some great people and had a chance to  talk about our message. Elder Santos said “with carnival and it is the last week before transfers and all the rai...
