Feliz Natal

24 December 2018 Dear Family I will be calling around 5 o’clock this time so about 11 or 12 your time I’m so excited!!!!!!! Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH OH how crazy is this! My Christmas will be about 100 degrees and no snow not even a cloud in the sky  It’s so different now my second area its the city of Uba.  It’s a little bigger a little busier but the church, it’s a branch and is really small but i have faith we are going to do a lot of good here. The Savior is the center of the plan of God and especially during natal He is the center of all I know that the savior lives and loves everyone of us, no matter where we are or what we are going through.  I received this advice from my mission president and wanted to share it with you all for my Christmas present. drum roll please   dududududududududududududududududuudududud I’m getting transferred!!! Man its bitter sweet! This week was crazy (as usual) but extra crazy because of Christmas conference of the mission!!! I was a little sick this week, after getting soaked last week, someone caught a cold and passed it to the rest of us missionaries, everyone is sick. haha  The conference was awesome. President talked about how the angels just didn’t appear to any shepherd but he came to the shepherd over the sheep used in the temple to be sacrificed. The significance of how they were called to guard the real lamb of God who would be sacrificed for us all. We talked about how we often as missionaries are telling others, not to fear, just to come unto Christ. But other times we are the ones fearing and we need to fear not. The world is so full of distrust and unbelief and hardships and fear.  As a present, we all received a picture of Christ to "look unto him...

We had a wedding in town this week so we called the Presidente and got authorized to call it a day a little early and the Elders got all spiffied up to go the a wedding.  Suits and black ties walking down the street… maaaaan we looked good. We helped a lot at the wedding. Elder Ribeiro; with his vast music knowledge (both Portuguese and American)   was assistant DJ. Elder Guevara; He’s pretty artsy and had some photography experience,  so he was wedding photographer. Yours truly -Elder Sheffield: I look so good in a suit they asked me to be the garçom (waiter). I looked so official with a silver plater with deserts walking around the crowd. Hahaha. It was a full-on walking down the aisle "I-do" kind of thing, which was cool. The next day, 37 of the members, got on the bus for a 12 hour ride to the Campinas Temple. We had 5 of our recent converts going to the temple which was so awesome!!!!!!! They are so great and it was such a sacrifice for them to pay fo...
