Life in the Mission Office

Image
I got transferred, so now I’m in the area of Jardim America. Which is a slice of Juiz de Fora. Elder Gonzalez is training me in finances, and the mission, and all of our responsibilities of the office.  We go to the office everyday about 10:00am and work until about 4 – 5pm. We don’t have lunch with the members, so I’m missing the homemade food of the members :( Saturday night the assistants had a baptism in the ward, so we prepared everything and I had a part in helping.  Sunday we had a few people na igreja (at church). It’s weird going to church and seeing the president of the mission sitting there with his family, hahaha. Monday we visited some investigators with a recent convert Peterson. We met some really nice people and had some good lessons. A lady we taught said that it was the best thing that happened to her this year so far. That was sweet. Tuesday was my birthday!!!! It was the busiest day so far and it just happened to fall on Tran...

Oiiiii NOW IM IN THE BIG CITY A friend recommended a talk by Elder Bednar and here’s my favorite quote. “ If all you or I know about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, is what other people teach or tell us, then the foundation of our testimony of Him and His glorious Latter-day work is built upon sand.” We cannot rely exclusively upon or borrow gospel light and knowledge from other people even those whom we love and trust.   I love teaching and talking to people. We sang and played hymns in the center street and talked with everyone and gave away Liahonas . I love smiling to everyone and talking about the savior there is really nothing better. I’m now companions with Elder Gonsalez. Im soooo excited. Love you all so much

He is the Way

August 12, 2019 It was great to talk to my family yesterday! Ill keep this short Here’s a spiritual thought of the week. I was reading a talk called “THE WAY”. I wanted to share some of it with you. It’s by Lawrence Corbridge . It’s simple, it’s direct, it’s clear  Jesus is the Way. Any other way, whichever other way, is just foolish.
