OIIIIII Familia Boa Sabadão!!!!

Domingo passado,

We had church earlier than usual and combined two wards and it was huge! 

Then we ate lunch at a members house and I still can’t believe he didn’t let me wash the dishes! I had a 4 month streak of washing them every single lunch. He said “that as representatives of Christ he couldn’t let us do that type of work”. They are a great member family. Then we went to the devotional with President Russel M. Nelson to the saints in Brasil. It was great. He had everyone stand up and do some stretches and telling everyone that “We need to get up more often and tell our feet they have something to do”

Ya heard that Sam and Jake? The prophet said it, so that means it’s a commandment!!!

Then we had a baptism at night, an investigator of the assistants. A mom and daughter, they are so amazing. We sang “Mais perto eu quero estar” (Closer I want to Be/Nearer my God to Thee). Elder L. Costa played guitar, Sister Davilan and Elder Halh played Violin. Me, Elder Elmer and Elder Thompson made a trio and sang, it was really spiritual.

The president of the church Finance Department in Brasil came a gave us a visit and trained us on some things with the mission President for a couple of days.

Then It was crazy stressful! We got a call that there was an auditor and that we had to go searching for a bunch of files and email. But everything worked out! :)  I’m getting the hang of things in the office.

Today was great! ITS BRAZILIAN IDEPENDANCE DAY!!!!! We got up and bought some things to make a bunch of banana smoothies and I was planning on baking a cake but then realized I forgot to buy eggs :( so I´ll have to save it for another day. We played a few rounds of Bowling- Americans vs Brazilians hahaha. It was great Elder Thompson, Elder Elmer and Elder L. Costa are pros. I gave it a good Sheffield effort hahah.

We are leaving right now to go to a baptism of ELPIDIO tonight. It is going to be great I love this man.

I loved hearing about Jake running hahah

Keep up the running Jake even when ya fall and slip and everything hurts keep up the running.

The prophet had all the kid spontaneously stand up and sing the first verse of “I’m a child of God”

I know that we are child of the most high. How amazing is that to say.

We are children of a God who loves us and wants the best of us. I love that. 

He wants THE BEST for us. THE BEST is so much more than we know.

I love his plan and his Savior, our Savior Christ.
