Milagres e O messias

| A banquet that a less active member made for us. We are teaching her and she's coming to church again!!!!!! |
What a week of miracles!!!!!
We started working in an area called Monte Verde 1&2. We found families. Just about every house has a family. It’s been amazing. We are teaching a couple, Cristiano and Natiele and their twin sons.
We were teaching Taina e Roberto. They had a fight and Taina was planning on moving back home. It’s really complicated. We had previously marked a lesson with them and it would one of our last lessons with them. But when we got there and it was just the husband. We were teaching Roberto and he had said Taina had gone to a friend’s house on the other side of the city in a neighborhood called Monte Verde. We had just finished our lesson with him and a car pulled up and the door opened and a little boy peeked his head in. I thought “who’s this kid, wait… I know him!! He’s one of the twins of Cristiano and Natiele!!”And out of the blue our best pesquisadores (investigators) walked in and looked at us all shocked all confused and we looked right back at them, shocked and confused. It turns out that they are all best friends!!They are helping one another, now reading together and praying for one another. Taina bore her testimony about how much help It’s given them. We taught an awesome lesson on Friday and then we had marked with the other family a lesson on Saturday and we got there and Taina e Robertowere there also! Cristiano Natiele and their two children went to church yesterday! Also, a young women ran into us and said “you guys are the Mormon’s, right? I saw your church yesterday” and we said they are meeting Domingoat 9oclock. She said “can I go this week?” And she went! She seems really interested.
5 investigators at church!!!
We also had an amazing miracle. We had a strong feeling to walk into a bakery and buy something, so I thought “you don’t have to ask me twice”. At the cash register, I gave a big smile and started talking to the lady. I talked about Jesus and the church. She all of a sudden looked pale and then in our conversation I said “Simone, do you believe God answers prayers?” she said “Yes, I had a dream of you two telling me about your mission"the spirit was so strong and we marked a lesson with her. We were beaming as we were leaving that bakery. We were on fire spiritually so much that when we saw a man walking down the street, we made a contact with him and I think we scared him to death.
The Lord gave us so many amazing testimony builders this week. We always say obedience brings blessings but exact obedience brings miracles. I felt my faith and the truthfulness of that phrase this week.
Funny story, my companion and I were walking back home at night talking. We walked in
front of a car lot and a huge dog let out a huge bark, just one, but enough to just scare Elder Parronchi to death! He threw his hands up and almost jumped into my arms hahahah. Clearly, I almost died from laughing.
My companion is great! He’s a Rockstar. No really a Rockstar- His dad sang professionally so he also sings music. We decided to play a hymn for our message after lunch with a family of a church member. I played guitar and Elder shorts played ukelele and the other two missionaries sang. It was great.
It’s sad to hear about Grandma Anderson. It is good to see her smiling in the pictures. That’s grandma- nothing can shake up grandma.
You guys are doing so many fun summer things. That’s awesome to celebrate the moon landing anniversary. I didn’t even remember that 50 years ago we had a moon landing!!!
I’m reading lots of war chapters in the Book of Mormon.I love the comparison of Moroni and his enemies talking about if everyone was like him, Satan would never have power over us.
Faith is so powerful!!! It’s so hard for us, as humans, to believe in something that we can’t see. But I know faith is real. My companion likes to say, in Portuguese “fé” there’s an f for fazer (do) and an e foresperar (wait). When we do what the Lord wants and have patience and perseverance, our faith will grow. JUST DO WHAT HE ASKS OF US. I love the Lord, he’s so good to us. He really wants the best for us.
I love you all so much
